Como extracto interesante, King presenta las 4 Reglas del Éxito:

1. Never borrow from more that your IQ times a hundred;
2. Never borrow from a man who calls you by the first name on first acquaintance;
3. Never take a drink when the sun's still up; &
4. Never take a partner you wouldn't be willing to embrace naked on a waterbed.

La obra tiene la peculiaridad de desarrollarse en Minnesota, pero sobre todo en Florida (en el Cayo Duma), lo cual es algo diferente en la literatura de King, fuera de Nueva Inglaterra (algo raro) y en Florida (algo nuevo)...

Acaso se querrá acercar a Hemingway?
